The Liveliest of Live Music: Photos of Toby at JFD's
It was an amazing time this week as Toby lead an Australian (with Canadian help) invasion of Jackfish Dundees. The music was lively and it was hard to stay in one's seat! She came a superbly talented band featuring drums, guitar, uke, upright bass, saxophone, clarinet, and some quality whistling.
Toby is one of Fort St. John's favorite imports and it was a pleasure to see her live again.
Check out some photos of her live show at JFD's!
Toby is Around the World and Back at Jackfish Dundees
Toby - the girl with the beautiful big blues voice - is all the way around the world again from Australia and has made her way back to Jackfish Dundee’s on her Good Old Days Canadian Tour!
Toby will be playing at Jackfish Dundee’s on July 6th and 7th at 7 pm, so you have two different opportunities this summer to hear one of Australia’s coolest bands with a powerhouse voice.
Toby Returns to Jackfish Dundee's

Toby, Austrailia's favorite rock-roots band, is returning to Jackfish Dundee's. Enjoy their amazing live show on Tuesday July 6th and Wednesday July 7th at 8pm. THAT'S TONIGHT AND TOMORROW NIGHT!
Here's an excerpt from their website:
"Energetic, raw and feisty, Toby is a charismatic singer, songwriter and guitarist magically weaving together roots, rock and reggae. Passionate and joyous on stage, recent appearances like America's Summerfest prove why Toby is warmly welcomed to festival bills, support slots and headlining shows world-wide."
Don't miss out - this is going to be a great show!
Australia's Toby Back in Fort St. John

Energetic. Raw. Feisty.
These three words tell you everything you need to know about Australian roots artist Toby on stage.
Do I really need to tell you anything about Toby on stage though? All you residents of Fort St. John should be more than familiar with Toby because, if I can count correctly, this will be her 5th time visiting the city.
For those of you who have somehow managed to miss this Australian phenom, Toby and her band put on a passionate, joyous, and quite frankly killer live show. Toby is a charismatic singer, songwriter, and guitarist who magically weaves together roots, rock and reggae.
She has performed all across the globe with five Canadian tours up her sleeve. She also tours throughout Europe, America, and Australia playing major festivals, and performing her own headline shows. She has performed at Milwaukee 's Summerfest alongside Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys and Blondie, at Canada 's Big Time Out Festival with Michael Franti and Xavier Rudd, and Australian festivals including WA Blues and Roots, Bridgetown Blues (five consecutive years), and Fairbridge Festival. Toby has also performed on stage with artists such as The Violent Femmes, Tex Perkins and Ash Grunwald.
2010 is set to be a massive year for Toby. Starting the year with a bang, Toby will be supporting the John Butler Trio in Toronto, this is followed by her sixth full band tour of West Canada. Toby will be recording her fourth studio album in San Fran, USA with Carey Williams acting as producer (Carey has produced for Taj Mahal and manages the incredible Etta James).
With that jam-packed bio laid down, Toby will be performing in Fort St. John at Jackfish Dundee's on Thursday, February 25. This is a free show and will get rolling as usual around 8:30-9pm. If you have seen Toby perform and can help spread the news about the show - tell your friends to come out and enjoy a great night of music!

Toby from Australia's First Canadian Date: Fort St. John, BC
Toby puts on a killer live show. Using elements of folk, pop, roots, and reggae with her incredibly powerful soulful voice, Toby and her band will captivate you from the very first note they play.
To use a quote from another -
"Toby has undoubtedly one of Perth's most powerful voices... Toby whose voice seems to know no bounds fronts the one part orchestra, one part bonfire jam, one part circus with ease...Just how does Toby arrive at such a swirl of delectable musical chaos on stage?" - Megan Smith
Fort St. John is lucky enough to have Toby come all the way from Perth Australia to play Egan's Pub Fort St. John as her first show in a western USA/Canada tour.
Toby will be performing June 16th, and 17th (after the Open Mic), starting at around 9.
If you have seen Toby perform and can help spread the news about the show - tell your friends to come out and enjoy a great night of music!

Treasure from Australia : Toby is coming to Fort St. John
The West Australia’s most energetic and vibrant singer/songwriter Toby will be in Fort St. John for 6 dates! She will be joined by top Canadian upright bass player MJ Dandeneau.
Toby it’s…a powerful voice, solid base of drums and electric bass guitar, dynamic guitar and sincere lyrics about love, travel and devotion.
Toby has spent the last year performing over 180 shows touring Canada, Europe and Australia. Her latest album named “Renaissance” is getting high rotation on hundreds of radio stations world wide. Toby has performed at major festivals in Melbourne, Manchester (UK), Interlaken (Switzerland) and BC (Canada) and she has already performed with Michael Franti, Jack Johnson, The Waifs, John Butler Trio, Xavier Rudd and The Whitlams.
Toby is one of a kind; she can perform to any crowd – 10,000 people at a big festival or an intimate crowd of 50. She is talented, passionate and unique. She is also a brilliant songwriter and soulful musician. Her lyrics come straight from the heart. Her voice is sexy and deep at the same time.
Last time she toured in Canada, Toby had a crush for French language. So, she releases in February 2007 “Tu Es Belle”, her first non-english single.
Her music is a perfect fusion of roots, blues, jazz, reggae, Latin and rock.
It is a love at first sound! Don’t miss that show!
