My name is Kris. I am leaving FSJ. My last night in town is July 2nd and, just as it happens, Rob Szabo is playing Egans that night. Fitting on my last night I get to see I guy play who's music has, in many ways symbolized my 3 years in Fort St John. So come eat drink be merry and make sure you give yourself a wicked hangover for work the next day! I'm sure I'll be hurtin on my drive down to Van so suck it up princess!

It will be a good week for Fort St. John events!

Fort St. John's hometown favorites Ryan Hennessey and Steve Ryan are playing a show together at Egan's Pub at the end of the month, on Saturday, May 31. Ryan and Steve are seasoned veterans at Egans, loved by staff and community - this will be a night to look forward to good music & great friends.

Show will probably start around 8:30 with no scheduled end date.

Ryan Hennessey is one of those musicians who really knows how to work hard as a performer.

You may have seen Ryan from years past as the guitar player singer in local rock band, Home by Six. If not Home by Six, then maybe as the guitar player in the band Fair Wage, playing shows at Egans Pub. If that doesn't help, maybe you'd recognize him as the drummer in the FSJ band Mindset. Possibly as the fellow who plays and hosts Egan's Open Mic every second Wednesday. Anyways... my point is Ryan Hennessey has got to be one of the hardest working and dedicated local musicians around.

For a bit of a change of pace, come see Ryan perform an acoustic set this coming Thursday at Cosmic Grounds, starting 8pm. This is an All Ages event. Special guests will be Two Chairs, Twelve Strings.

If you can't make that one, Ryan will be playing at Chances Lounce in Dawson Creek, May 12, as well as, Egans Pub on May 31.

Cosmic Grounds is hosting Ryan Hennessey and Sean Cullen of Fair Wage this Saturday the 25th at 7:00PM. Ryan and Sean are well known in the local music communities; their band Fair Wage has recorded a full length CD and has has received airplay from Moose FM with their song Barfly. You might also know Ryan from the band Mindset playing behind the drums. Opening the evening will be the very excited to be here, Nick Grubjesic - great guy, great musician.

For all looking for live music on a Saturday evening, come down to Cosmic Grounds, pick up a hot chocolate, and enjoy a night of local Fort St. John performers.
