Open Air Clean Air Concert,

Think mini Canola Fest... but more earthy.

The day will start at 6PM, so show up early with a lawn chair to reserve your piece of the action!

This Friday there is an awesome lineup of musicians, local and imported, to play at the first annual, Open Air Clean Air celebration. Put on by NEAT (the Northern Environmental Action Team), this event is an earth friendly environmental awareness event to celebrate and raise awareness to environmental issues in the north. What better way than with a handful of some of this towns best musicians. The lineup right now looks like this:

RIK LEAF
Rik Leaf is a folk-poet who has been a featured on six internationally released compilation CDs that combined have sold over 35,000 copies. His folk-rock latin-funk duo features Rik on acoustic-electric guitar, stomp box, ocarinas and vocals, and Marie-Josée Dandeneau, a female Métis multi instrumentalist on upright, cello, fretless bass and percussion.

CYNTHIA HAMAR
With sounds remissing of Jack Johnston, Sarah McLachlan, with noticable jazz influences as well. Words like artsy, ethereal, and melancholy further characterize Cynthia's music. It's very cohesive as a project but hard to define.

LAST CHANCE ANNA PASCAL
Last Chance Anna Pascal, a Fort St. John all girl punk rock band, will (for this event only) be putting their electric guitars away and playing an all acoustic set!

FIVE SIX SWITCH
Jason Kouwenhoven and Dave will be playing. This duo won this years RocKIN the Peace concert. Jason is no stranger to FSJ music. (for those who remember the band "Underduck" or "Russell Say's Hello", you know what I'm talking about.)

RYAN HENNESSEY
No newcomer, Ryan is a FSJ veteran. He is an amazing songwriter, amazing performer, and definately and it is a privilage for us to have him open up the show.

This show is on facebook... to RSVP to the event, go to http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=56754585112
