Juno Nominated, Canadian Singer Songwriter Dayna Manning, at age 18 had a major label recording deal for her debut album of entirely original music. Her future held a Juno nod, tour on Lilith Fair, shows with acts like Joe Cocker and Radiohead, and favourable reviews by everyone from Rolling Stone to Billboard. Her three albums to date feature big names in the music business like Sean Ono Lennon and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith. Her guitar stylings are not easily matched and her soaring voice is unmistakable. Ask anyone who has seen Dayna perform - she is mesmerizing.
Ryan McMahon has just been nominated 5 times by the Vancouver Island Music Awards, the most nominations ever by any artist!! Artist of the Year, Male Songwriter of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year, and his album All Good Stories (which was produced by Richard Leighton of Lantzville — a nominee for Producer of the Year) is up for Album of the Year. He splits his time between Vancouver and his hometown of Ladysmith, writing and performing his music. He has toured Canada 10 times, released 2 full-length albums, 2 EP's, and a live record, seen his music licensed both Nationally and abroad, and heard his music on both commercial and college radio Canada-wide.
Joining Dayna and Ryan on this event will be everyone's favourite local man about town Dale Hillman debuting his "incredible gems of songwriting" as Dayna puts it.

The last week of September is going out with a bang as JD Fitzgerald's packs in some amazing live music.
Starting off the week at 8:30pm on Tuesday, September 27th, the Tuesday Night Performance is the always fun-time guy, Ryan Hennessey. He will play and sing and generally entertain you all night. It's a great way to get your week going and the music will be stellar.
Next up is Dayna Manning and Dave Tolley at 8pm on Thursday, September 29th. Dayna is a phenomenal muscian and singer and song-writer and Dave hits things and makes noise. Seriously though, Dayna's music and fun lyrics are perfectly matched by Dave, keeping rhythm on the cajon. Come down to JD's for a chance to see two of the best artists around!
Finally to finish the month it's the awesome duo of Johnny Stone and Darcy Bailey. They will play some cool tunes and you will like it - I promise. With great harmonies and rock 'n roll talent, Darcy and Johnny will blow your weekend away. Check these guys out at 8pm on Friday, September 30th and Saturday, October 1st.

There was standing room only at Whole Wheat 'n Honey last night! Dayna Manning and Dave Tolley kicked off the show with some gorgeous music. Dayna's songs were passionately sung with a fantastic beat brought by Dave. She dedicated songs to friends in the crowd and even sang one inspired by her cat.
Then Sean Ashby got up, backed by his awesome iPod band and wowed the crowd with his guitarist skills. It was so great to have him back in FSJ and he thanked everyone for showing such support. Sean fulfilled his promise to play every guitar he brought... about five of them! There were Tom Petty covers, surf guitar, and all around great music.

Local Singer/Songwriter and Juno nominated artist Dayna Manning is planning a very special show this Saturday evening at the North Peace Cultural Centre. Dayna was one of the talented local artists featured at NPCC’s Spotlight 2010, and NPCC is please to present her as a local featured artist in 2011. This is going to be a very up-close and personal show, showcasing some of FSJ’s finest talent.
Dayna will be performing two 35 minute sets of entirely original work, featuring all local musicians. Since re-locating to Fort St. John from Stratford, Ontario in 2005, Dayna has been please to see the arrival of many other fantastic musicians form throughout Canada, and become aquainted with all of the talented local artists. This Saturday night, Dayna’s band will consist of Gidd Hampton (Comox/FSJ) on lap steel & guitar, his wife Bettyanne Hampton (Comox/FSJ) on accordion, Joscelyn Hannaford (FSJ) on the violin and the always impeccable Steve Ryan (PEI/FSJ) and Dave Tolley (Kitchener/FSJ) on guitars/vox and drums respectively.
Dayna Manning has three records out to date that feature the likes of Sean Ono-Lennon, Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers) and many other world class musicians. She has toured Canada extensively with acts like Joe Cocker, Burton Cummings, Lilith Fair and even Radiohead. She is a respected songwriter, guitar player and singer, and has called Fort St. John home for the past six years. Dayna Manning with Dave Tolley, Jackfish Dundee’s Nov 27th
Dayna Manning is a great performer. She has been nominated for a Juno and has toured with many of Canada’s music greats. Luckily, Dayna’s been living in Fort St. John and will be playing at Jackfish Dundee’s for two hours of great music on November 27th. Dayna’s songs come from the heart and you are bound to learn a thing or two about life.
Dave Tolley will be playing cajon. Dave has toured internationally and will be performing with Dayna on this special evening and while she works on her new record.
A guitar, a box, and some of the finest songs this country has ever heard.
