One of the amazing things about Fort St. John, is that I'm always meeting new cool musicians who have recently moved into town!  I met Kyle Bischke 2 weeks ago.  As a bartender at Tony Roma's, he was asked to perform a few songs at the Pomeroy Christmas Party... After hearing him, and without a second thought, I thought it would be awesome if Kyle would be intereted in opening up for the upcoming Ari Neufeld Show.

So, here's the news:

Kyle's will be performing one of his original tunes, never before heard, tomorrow night - Jan 24th - at The Breakfast Room!  He'll be playing a handful of cool covers, and setting the mood for the evenign!  Come support Kyle and checkout the amazing music of Okanagan musician, Ari Neufeld.

Tickets in advance are $15 (available online below), or $20 at the door.

The show is available to all ages, and there will be a bar available for 19+.  Food will be available and served through Tony Romas resturaunt.

Ari Neufeld at Whole Wheat 'n Honey

If it can be made with the human body, he’s probably figuring out how to make it. Music. Art. Rhythm. Melody. Rhyme. Visual innovation and diversity. An ever growing commitment to understanding the principles in the nature of creativity, Ari has been working at perfecting his crafts both in and out of the public spotlight nearly his entire life. To begin your journey, choose your point of interest and see how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Ari Neufeld is performing for the very first time in Fort St. John this weekend, and this Saturday he is playing to an incredible listening audience at Whole Wheat 'n Honey Cafe.  This is such a great room to see Ari perform that wish everyone can came out and hear the show!

Opening tonight will be Christopher Baulmeister, and a trio of young female performers from NPSS, named Ali, Syd, and Patricia.  More about them here:

Ari is a super talented performer with an incredible stage show filled with emotion and heartfelt stories.  Here's what other's have said:

Ari Neufeld at Egan's Pub

Egan's Pub is kickin' it up for the first Friday of May -- Ari Neufeld a musician from BC's beautiful Okanagan is performing at Egan's Pub on May 6th.  His first time to Fort St. John... we're excited to welcome him to our musical city!

Ari has a reputuation as a great performer, and a killer songwriter...

"Have to admit I was a little obsessed with Old Man Songs by Ari Neufeld" Tegan, Tegan & Sara, Hottest chick in Canadian Alt Pop

He plays guitar, piano, banjo (but usually guitar), while singing and keeping time through an amplified stompbox, with ethnic beads, nuts and bells strapped to his body. His performance covers a variety of genres from folk to pop, to new country, to rhythmic soul, to rock.

Over three decades of global travel and extremely colorful living and work experience, Ari has redefined himself through a sensitive eagerness to explore the world around him and turn his musings into audience participation. This imperative supersedes the stage, where there is an even deeper eagerness to explore creativity in general: Ari has worked as a line and graphic artist, painter, sculptor, plasterer, poet, writer, pyrographer, photographer and chef.

Often Ari's performances are hall-marked by an opportunity to look deep into the knot of an old tree, and discover some tranquil revelation way down in its hollow. From there, it's a laughter-filled experience of rhythm, movement, soaring melody. Not hampered by any singular emotion, his push to explore new ideas while performing ranks with the airs of Bob Dylan, Jeff Buckley, Martin Sexton, Bruce Cockburn.

Mark off this Friday as an idea to bring out some friends for some great music, or even as a good idea for a date night?  Just a thought!
