The Peace Region is a special place. While it is true that we live in a small and sometimes cold region of the world located in Northern BC, Canada... there are a few well kept secrets, as to what keeps this area so vibrant and full of life. One of the secrets is this - our community is home to some of the best artists, musicians, dancers, and crafts people in all of Canada!
Well, we at Northern Groove don't want our arts scene to be a secret anymore! Through awareness and promotion, we believe that our local artists can be connected into a larger network to make up a thriving arts scene in the most unlikeliest of places - in our very own backyard.
It is the mission of Northern Groove to promote our local arts scene and local artists. We believe that an active and healthy arts scene in our community holds a vital role in making our region a great place to live and spend time in. To achieve our mission requires the help and cooperation of everyone involved, ranging from individual artists and musicians, to local businesses, to corporate citizens and local government, to regular individuals who want to help out. We know we can't do it by ourselves - a vibrant arts scene shouldn't just be about the work of one business or organization... it requires the entire community.
So how can you get involved? There are lots of ways, and they're all not that tough. Check out the list of options below, and choose the caption that describes best how you can get involved. Thanks for your interest in helping us promote our amazing local artists and amazing community.
As artists we know how difficult it can be to get your art into the public eye. We can help you with that. The Northern Groove network exists because of artists. There so many great artists and groups, that we fill a magazine every month with loads of information on what everyone is doing. By connecting with Northern Groove you are connecting to a community of people who support the arts in the Peace region.
The Northern Groove network prides itself in creating awareness for all of the arts and entertainment events in the city. We want to connect with as many people as possible. What we bring is a network of people who look to us to see what's happening and where they can go. By making this connection your event will only grow.
It all comes down to connections. Many people want to support the arts in the community but also want to support local business'. We can help you promote your business in a variety of ways. By making the connection between the community and your business you will only see positive results.
