Musician Exchange Underway - First Impressions

Posted on : 18 January 2012 By

So I’ve been on planes, trains, and automobiles... but my best adventures seem to always start with a good little ride on the greyhound bus.

For those who are new to the musician exchange program  -- Russ asked if I would be willing to spend a month in town playing music and teaching guitar... I thought it would be fun, canceled my trip of Hawaii, after going through all the details signed up...

I arrived Monday Jan.16 at 6:30pm … within a few hours I was jamming 80’s and 90’s rock tunes
with my host and Fort St. John’s own Ryan Hennessey and Mark Bodner. It was a great way to wake up from a 22 hour bus ride from Salmon Arm.

Tuesday was the first official day of work -- I jammed with singer songwriter Joseph Te Bulte and then helped coach a great group of talented teenagers with their band... and oh yes, I should also mention I experienced what -40 degrees feels like.

… Wednesday morning, I was feeling inspired by the start … sat down to play and came up with this little ditty!  Inspired by Fort St. John, -40, and a 22 hour bus ride!  Enjoy!

… Can’t wait to see what the rest of the month is like, and to meet all the people.  I’m looking forward to collaborating with all of the musicains in town!  If you want to contact me send me an email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
