For the best in contemporary folk music with a hint of bluegrass, don’t miss The Ramblin’ Quincys when they tour the Peace Country later this month. The Ramblin' Quincys, based in Nelson BC, were formed out of sweet harmonies and the spinning of musical stories. This dynamic new group creates music that defies the borders of folk, bluegrass, and gypsy soul. Check them out at www.theramblinquincys.com. Playing original tunes, their stories connect people to the roots of music and storytelling. Fronting the group is Fort St. John’s own Jody Anne Peck and Miss Ange Healy. The Rambin' Quincys often perform with The Woolly Chaps, a diverse ensemble of musicians including standup bass, violin, trumpet and percussion. This summer The Ramblin' Quincys are touring BC and Alberta to promote their first CD, Gypsy Fire Songs. Catch them at: House Party in Fort St. John Aug. 23 Sudeten Hall (dinner show) in Dawson Creek’s Pioneer Village Aug. 26 Egans Pub Aug 27 / 28th Pouce Coupe Community Hall Aug. 29 Cottonwood Hall in the Chetwynd Community Centre Aug. 30
