Do you have a story to tell? Join us for free Storytelling Workshops! Ōma Productions is recruiting local community members to participate in free workshops of oration, dancing, and songwriting activities, culminating in a public performance.
Participants will take part in exercises focusing on dance, voice, and movement, and will explore personal stories from their lives ranging from the story of your favorite pair of shoes, to the story of how you or your family came to Dawson Creek, to the story of your most important meal. Based on the stories told, participants will also work together to create a final performance. The workshops will take place at KPAC in Studio 9 and Studio 8 for dance.
Participants need to be available for the length of the workshops. The dates for the workshops are: Sunday January 17, Saturday January 30, and Sunday January 31.
