Down the Rabbit Hole with Jaxon Haldane: Photos

Tuesday, 15 September 2009 21:47 Written by Jodie Ponto

jaxonhaldane_1.jpegLast evening Retro Relics/The Rabbit Hole hosted the first concert in the Home Routes House Concert series.

Jaxon Haldane, from Winnepeg, is usually seen playing with the likes of the mad dog bluegrass band the D-Rangers.  Last night, however, those at the Rabbit Hole were able to get intimate and acoustic with Jaxon as he played one of his first solo performances.  He delivered 2 stripped down sets featuring only his voice and his strings (a guitar and a banjo).

Those lucky enough to linger after the show soon found themselves part of a jam session that lasted late into the night.  Beer, pizzas, guitars, banjos, mandolins, harmonicas, and musical saws - what a night!  Special thanks to Henry and Beau down at The Rabbit Hole for keeping their doors open to the tireless musicians.

If you missed this concert, fear not, there will be 5 more concerts in the series over the winter and spring!  The next one is scheduled for Tuesday October 13th and will feature Leela & Ellie Grace.
